🌿 A Journey of Resilience, Beauty, and Transformation 🌿
In November many moons ago, the founder of what would eventually become Pukalani Floral wandered into her backyard. She gathered random greenery and crafted a simple Christmas wreath. She shared a photo of it on Facebook, never expecting what happened next—an inquiry to purchase it.
That first inquiry led to her first official wreath order. Soon after, she posted more wreath designs (ones she jokingly described as “better looking”) on Facebook Garage Sale. The response was overwhelming, with orders pouring in almost instantly.
Realizing she needed help, she reached out to a friend in the floral industry. This generous friend not only guided her but also provided resources to source the flowers needed to fulfill the influx of orders. That Christmas season turned into a whirlwind of happiness, creativity, and connection, sparking what would become an annual holiday tradition.
In December the following year, her mother, requested a formal floral arrangement for a friend. Though she had never created one before, it was an exciting challenge. This single moment planted the seed for what would become Pukalani Floral, officially launched into Maui's Flower Delivery Company.
Over the next few years, her floral design company blossomed into a source of joy and beauty for many. It became especially meaningful during the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing moments of light and connection during dark times. Every bouquet and arrangement carried heartfelt stories, spreading kindness and happiness across the community.
Soon after life took a difficult turn. The founder’s mother, fell ill. To cover medical and care expenses, the family made the tough decision to sell the floral shop. Thankfully, the new owners carried the legacy forward, and the business continues to thrive today.
One year later, on in November, exactly five years after the first wreath was made, her mother passed away, gaining her angel wings. The loss was deeply felt, but her memory inspired a new chapter.
The founder turned back to nature, finding solace and purpose in creating beauty in outdoor spaces. She launched Lehua's Forest, a landscape and living arrangement company, combining her love for design and nature. Through this endeavor, she has transformed homes, backyards, offices, and commercial spaces, continuing to spread joy and beauty.
